Learning to Be Free by Danyella Loden, Fifth Grade teacher in Forsyth County Schools, GA. Danelle brings alive a deeply moving historical and human story during a DigiTales’ DocuDrama Summer Camp 2009 about Cesar Chavez, a Mexican-American labor hero. Cesar worked tirelessly to improve terrible working conditions of migrant field hands. Her docudrama merged content standards, inquiry-based research, narrative writing, mastery of digital tools and the art of storytelling into a rich, sensory media experience that engaged us in the emotional journey of a story that wanted to be told.
